To true. There are good games on both machines but if you have one you are unlikely to buy the other as it can work out to expensive to justify especially to the other half. Doesn't mean you have to put down a game like mass effect or halo just because there on the 360.
The 360 has some great games...probably some of the best ever made. To say a game is rubbish just because of its platform is crazy and short sighted.
Well i had GTA3 and vice city etc for the Ps2 but brought GTA4 for my 360. Even though i have a Ps3 i prefer playing online on the 360 as most of my friends are on there and everything is easier for communication etc. And i prefer the 360 pad.
But thats just my choice. One of my friends who has both consoles got it for the ps3 because he prefers that. Shame i could have kicked his butt online.
Anyway in answer to above, brand loyalty is for mugs.
Thing is they don't make money of the consoles only the games so it is quite important from Sony and Microsofts standpoint. This was expected though with the 360 bigger user base.
I must agree while my ps3 is a great machine Sony do talk a lot of rubbish. They did the same with the ps2 and why all buy into it.
Thing is they don't need to do this. There machines and games are enough for people to buy it so stop with all the false promises and stupid willy waving. I remeber them talking loads of bull about the emotion engine and they haven't stopped since. Just give us the games thats all we care about. Yeah the co-ops good fun but then i like the co-op in all games. I still might get it to play through with a friend. Don't get me wrong i think its above average and enjoyable but like the guy above said a bit generic. Its almost as though they have tried to remake Halo. It feels very similar.
Trouble is whatever Sony shows probably won't come out for another 2-3 years. I wish they would show things that are definanlty coming this year. Im starting to take everything they say with a pinch of salt now.
Played the demo and it was ok. Average really. The ps3 does'nt really have any good fps's that arn't multi format ( Resistance again was ok) so was really hoping this was going to be superb. The ps3 really needs a shooter that defines it. Oh well hope fully Killzone2 will be the one.
ive played it on both the ps3 and 360 and they look exactly the same.
Things are looking good for the playstation but a lot of there early promises still haven't come through. Better online than 360 from day one yet still no cross chat XMB etc, Home looks great but still not out. I wish they would keep there mouth shut sometimes rather than sell there hardware on promises. This does apply to MS as well.
But credit where its due sales are good and things look rosy.
This is going to b great. loved gears 1 and still play it online.

This is garbage. open the latest issue of NAG. theres a double page advert for gaming at Reggies and it includes the xbox360 logo and a green HUD.
The 360 is outselling the ps3 there so why would they stop selling it.
